Carton staples and staplers are used together to secure the sides, base, and top of boxes and packages for transport. Staples are available in both stick and roll configurations. Battery-operated carton staplers cause less strain than manual-operated staplers and can be taken anywhere for use without a pneumatic air hose. Manual and pneumatic foot-operated staplers are for high-volume applications and staple from the bottom of the box. Pneumatic handheld staplers use button-operated air pressure to seal staples.
