Threaded rods and studs are cylindrical fasteners that mount, brace, and reinforce components into place. They are commonly used to fasten parts together that require extended reach or lengths and can be cut to size with a saw, grinder, or similar tool and come in a variety of conventional thread sizes. Fully-threaded rods and studs have threads running their entire length for extended engagement of nuts and other threaded components. Double-end threaded rods and studs have threads on opposite ends with an unthreaded part in the middle to fit into an unthreaded hole. They join components that have different thread sizes or don't require a full thread. Mountable threaded studs are stuck or welded to a work surface where space is limited or where there isn't a through-hole.
